If you walk into any bookstore, you will find shelves of get-rich-quick-get-a-life books all proclaiming they have the answer, just as I am about to do. How then is The Magic Formula different? Better?

It's like the old saw -- Don't think of a white horse...

          ...thinking of a white horse now aren't you?  Get it?

What picture could you create which would achieve the desired state of "no mean or thoughtless people"? You will explore that later on in the manual.
